UIN Jakarta Hosts Microsoft 365 Account Activation Training for Incoming Students
UIN jakarta recently held a socialization event to guide new students through the activation process for their Microsoft 365 accounts. The training, led by Reza Alamsyah, S.Kom, and Mahbubul Wathoni, M.Kom, MTI, focused on ensuring students can seamlessly access essential digital tools for their studies.Mahbubul Wathoni detailed the account activation procedure, instructing students to access the activation page and log in using their official UIN Jakarta credentials.He emphasized the importance of creating strong passwords – a minimum of eight characters combining uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols – advising against using easily guessable facts like birthdates or phone numbers.
“Use a minimum password of eight characters with a combination of capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Don’t use the date of birth or telephone number because it is easy to guess,” wathoni stated.
Account security was further reinforced with a call to register active mobile phone numbers for verification purposes.”The active mobile number must be registered because the system will send a verification code via SMS.This is part of the security of student accounts,” Wathoni explained.The session also introduced students to key Microsoft 365 features, including Outlook for official email communication, OneDrive for cloud-based storage, and Microsoft Teams for online lectures. Wathoni highlighted Teams’ notification system,ensuring students receive immediate updates regarding class schedules.
