The UCLA Bruins swimming and diving teams are splitting competition this week, sending swimmers to the Ohio State Invitational and divers to the USC Diving Invitational. Both events begin this week and will provide key early-season performances for the program.
UCLA swimmers will compete in Columbus,Ohio,at the Ohio State Invitational from November 18-21. The meet schedule includes relays and individual events ranging from the 100 butterfly to the 1650 freestyle. Meanwhile, the Bruin divers will head to Los Angeles for the USC diving Invitational, starting with 1-meter prelims and finals on Thursday, followed by 3-meter competition on Friday and platform diving on saturday.
At their most recent competition, the Bruins saw strong performances from several athletes. Fay Lustria, Sarah Bennetts, jada Duncan, and Gizem Guvenc secured a third-place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:34.52, and the 200 free relay team also placed third in 1:29.77. On the diving side, Eden Cheng finished fourth in the 1-meter event (271.05 points) and Molly Brascia took seventh (236.85 points).
