U.S. cuts short Gaza ceasefire talks : NPR

Aid distribution in Gaza is facing significant challenges, with reports of chaos and difficulties in safely delivering essential supplies to the besieged Palestinian territory. The United States and israel have refuted claims of hindering aid, instead pointing to Hamas for prolonging the conflict by not agreeing to ceasefire terms.

Israel maintains that it permits sufficient aid into Gaza and attributes distribution issues to United Nations agencies. Though, these agencies cite Israeli restrictions and a collapse of public order as major impediments. they describe scenes of thousands of people overwhelming food trucks immediately upon their arrival in Gaza, making safe delivery nearly unfeasible.

A parallel aid distribution system, supported by both israel and the U.S. and managed by an American contractor, has also encountered significant operational problems.

A spokesperson, identified as Pigott, expressed a desire to see an end to the destruction in Gaza, highlighting support for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and the distribution of 90 million meals as evidence of their commitment.
