utah Shooting: Details Emerge About suspect Tyler Robinson
LOGAN, UTAH – authorities have identified Tyler Robinson as the suspect in the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, 31, who died Wednesday after being shot during an event at a Utah university.
Robinson’s online profile reveals details about his life, including family photos and images appearing to show him with firearms as a child. The profile also contains travel photos, some seemingly depicting visits to shooting ranges.
Robinson attended Pineview High School and moved to Logan, Utah in 2022 to attend Utah State University, approximately two hours from the University of Valle de Utah where the shooting occurred.Utah Governor Spencer Cox stated Robinson was not a student at the University of Valle de Utah and that he has no details regarding any history of mental illness.
Initial reports indicated investigators began with limited information, described by former President Donald Trump as “a video in which it looked like an ant, which was almost useless.”
Law enforcement quickly identified Robinson as a suspect.The FBI Director, Kash Patel, expressed gratitude to the Kirk family, President Trump, and vice President Vance for providing resources that facilitated a swift investigation. Patel stated, ”In 33, we made historical progress for Charlie.”
Charlie Kirk was a prominent conservative activist and ally of President Trump. He was shot from the roof of a nearby building while speaking at the university and pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after being transported.
