TV Host Kicks Drone Into Model Face During Live Show
Isabella Rojas sustained facial injuries after host Ernesto Chavana kicked a studio broadcast drone directly into her face during a live broadcast in Monterrey. The incident occurred on a Tuesday evening during the entertainment program “Es Show,” which is broadcast twice a week by Channel 6 Multimedios.
The 58-year-old host became annoyed by the drone, as its deployment in the show apparently had not been arranged with the production team. Holding a microphone, Chavana stretched out his right leg without warning and kicked the flying device, sending it crashing straight into the face of Rojas, a model of Colombian origin who was standing nearby. The studio audience murmured as Rojas grabbed her mouth and fled backstage, where she received treatment.
Initial Reactions and Blame
Initially, the impulsive host did not offer an apology to the model and instead blamed the production staff, telling them, Vidíte, co jste právě způsobili?
Chavana also attempted to blame his footwear for the accident, claiming, Ve studiu bylo horko. Kopl jsem do toho a nevím, jestli to nebyla třeba moje nová obuv, která nastavila trajektorii dronu.
Public Apology and Resolution
Following sharp criticism on social media, the host issued a public apology. Uvědomuji si, že jsem udělal chybu, když jsem během show kopnul do dronu,
said Chavana, who previously worked in sports journalism and has hosted the burlesque show featuring music, dance, and adult sketches for ten years.
