Milan‘s First “Compact” Supermarket, Tuttigiorni, Redefines Local Grocery Shopping
Milan, Italy – A new supermarket model is taking root in Lombardy, with the opening of Tuttigiorni in Milan. The store, developed by Food 5.0 and Codè Crai nord Ovest, aims to blend convenience, community support, and sustainability into a streamlined shopping experience.
Unlike traditional supermarkets, Tuttigiorni operates on a “compact” footprint, offering a curated selection of products and a range of services designed to simplify daily life. Open seven days a week from 7:30 am to 10 pm, the store boasts 24-hour e-commerce with Click&Collect options, free Wi-Fi, and acceptance of meal vouchers.
Beyond commerce, Tuttigiorni positions itself as a neighborhood hub. The store participates in the “A coffee with the director” initiative for customer feedback and provides access to a nutritionist for wellness advice. Notably, it’s a designated “Purple Point” – a listening space for women in difficulty, promoted by DonnexStrada – and fosters an online community for experience sharing and loyalty rewards through the “Tuttigiorni Card.”
“This project generates real value every day,” stated Roberto Comolli, General Director of Food 5.0. Michele Poliseno,President of Codè Crai Nord Ovest, emphasized the store’s ”attention to the territory and the promotion of a responsible lifestyle.”
The launch of Tuttigiorni signals a potential “new phase in local food distribution,” according to its promoters, with a focus on lasting practices and a shopper-centric design.
