The Tulane Green Wave women’s golf program has a new assistant coach: Ornella Arrizon. The announcement from the athletic department signals a strategic move to bolster the team for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Arrizon’s Impressive Background
Ornella Arrizon comes to Tulane after serving as a graduate assistant for the South Alabama Jaguars since 2023. During her time in Mobile, she played a key role in guiding the program to multiple top-three tournament finishes. Notably, the Jaguars secured a victory at the Green wave Invitational at TPC louisiana in september 2024.
Did You Know? TPC louisiana, where Arrizon coached South Alabama to victory, also hosts the PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans, bringing top golfing talent to the region [1].
her impact extends beyond team success.This past spring, Arrizon mentored South Alabama freshman Katharina Schroll, who earned the sun belt Conference Freshman of the Year award. Schroll also received All-Conference Frist Team honors and an additional selection on the second team.
