Huge Fire Engulfs Russian ‌Oil refinery, Verified Footage Confirms

ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA – A massive fire has broken out at a major oil refinery in st. Petersburg,‍ Russia, wiht authenticated videos circulating widely online showing towering flames and thick plumes of smoke. Teh incident, confirmed by both Russian ⁣authorities and independent‍ verification, raises concerns about potential disruptions to fuel‍ supplies and‌ escalating attacks on Russian energy infrastructure amid the ongoing⁤ conflict in ukraine.

The fire at the Nevsky Mazut refinery, ‌a key facility ⁣processing⁣ approximately 2.8 million tonnes of oil annually, represents⁤ a ‌notable blow to Russia’s refining capacity. While the immediate cause remains under investigation,‍ the incident‍ occurs following a⁣ series of ‌drone ⁣strikes targeting Russian oil facilities, prompting speculation about sabotage. The extent of the damage and the timeline for restoring full operations ‌are currently unknown,⁢ but analysts predict localized fuel shortages and potential price increases.

US Customs and Border Protection data‍ reveals a substantial decrease in illegal migrant apprehensions since January 2025. Monthly apprehensions fell from 28,728 in January to 5,456 in August. However, claims ⁤of a‍ complete halt to ⁣illegal immigration are inaccurate.Former President Trump⁢ asserted that ‌illegal immigration had⁤ “totally stopped” and that migrants were no longer attempting to cross the border, stating,⁤ “In ⁣fact ⁣they’re⁣ not even coming anymore becuase they no they can’t‌ get through.”

Trump also ⁢alleged that 25 million people entered the US illegally during the Biden administration. This figure is a significant exaggeration. The Department of Homeland security estimates approximately 11 million “border encounters” occurred ⁤during President Biden’s ⁤term in ⁢office.

It is important ⁤to note that‌ rulings made by the government regarding immigration policy have been explicitly stated⁣ as “not legally binding.”
