The controversial commercial aired during Fox broadcasts of the matchup between the Washington Commanders and the Seattle Seahawks, as well as the game featuring the Carolina Panthers and the Cleveland Browns, according to reporting by CNN. The broadcast explicitly stated that the ad was paid for by the U.S. government. In the spot, President Trump walks down a hallway against a backdrop of suspenseful music, declaring that Americans face a decisive conflict.

“This is the final battle with you at my side,” Trump states in the footage. “We will cast out the communists, Marxists and fascists. We will throw off the sick political class that hates our country. We will rout the fake news media, and we will liberate America from these villains once and for all.”

Echoes of the 2024 Presidential Campaign

The newly aired broadcast is nearly identical to a video clip that President Trump shared on Truth Social in January 2024 while running his third presidential campaign. That earlier campaign version included explicit calls to join his fight for America along with direct campaign information. The current government-funded version, however, lacks the explicit campaign tags while retaining the identical combative rhetoric and visual style.

This broadcast follows closely behind another controversial government-funded commercial titled “America Will Never Be a Communist Country,” which aired on Thursday. That earlier spot featured black-and-white imagery of Trump, clips from political rallies, and a voiceover message from UFC CEO Dana White praising the president as the most resilient person he has met. That same commercial also boasted about securing the largest tax cuts in history and vowed to defend law enforcement.

Political Opposition and White House Defense

Florida Democrats Chair Nikki Fried denounced the broadcasts, describing the messaging as pure communist propaganda and labeling the rollout a sign of political collapse. Former U.S. attorney Joyce Alene, appointed by former President Barack Obama, took to social media to urge voters to hold the governing party accountable in the upcoming November elections.

Critics have also pointed out that these ad placements coincided with recent administration actions restricting certain media outlets, leading opponents to characterize the new government-backed media operations as state-run television. Despite the uproar, White House officials have strongly defended the broadcasts. In statements provided to The Independent, administration spokespersons insisted that the commercials are public service announcements rather than campaign advertisements, noting that because Trump is not personally running on the ballot in these midterms, the clips serve an educational and patriotic purpose to remind citizens of national values.
