Trump Demands Vaccine Data Transparency Amid CDC Turmoil
MIAMI (EFE) – September 1, 2025 – 22:25 – President Donald Trump today publicly called on pharmaceutical companies to release data detailing the success rates of their COVID-19 vaccines. The demand comes as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) faces internal strife following the recent dismissal of its director.
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated, “It is essential that pharmacists justify the success of their various medications against Covid 19.Many believe they are a miracle that saved millions of lives. Others do not agree! Wiht the CDCs shattered by this question, I want the answer, and I want it now.”
The President urged the public release of results demonstrating the efficacy of the vaccines against the virus that caused a global pandemic in 2020,noting that the issue has created division within the CDC.
Trump’s call for transparency follows last week’s firing of CDC Director Susan Monarch and the appointment of Jim O’Neill as interim director. O’Neill is described as a high-ranking official with close ties to Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr.
Monarch has publicly stated she was dismissed for opposing directives from Secretary Kennedy Jr., a well-known vaccine skeptic who has also questioned established scientific consensus on issues like climate change.
The government recently approved a new supply of COVID-19 vaccines, but with revised guidelines limiting their use to individuals considered “high risk” following medical consultation. The emergency use authorization for the vaccines has also been revoked.
