Trump, commenting on Gaza famine: I do not know – Israel must deal differently

Trump Questions Gaza Famine Claims Amidst Starmer’s “Disaster” Assessment

Former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed uncertainty regarding the existence of a famine crisis in Gaza, stating, “I do not no,” when asked about Israeli prime Minister Netanyahu’s assertions. Trump’s comments came during a meeting with British Labor leader Keir Starmer in scotland, where he referenced televised images of hungry children in the Palestinian territory.

“I mean, based on what appears on the TV, I say no specifically, because these children look very hungry,” Trump remarked, according too ABC. He also noted the meaningful financial aid and food contributions being made, including by other nations whose efforts are reportedly intensifying.

In contrast, Starmer, who was visiting trump at his Scottish residence, characterized the situation in Gaza as a humanitarian crisis and an “absolute disaster.”

Trump further elaborated on his viewpoint, suggesting that children in Gaza “should be blessed with food and safety promptly.” He also indicated that he had advised Israel to “deal with it in a different way,” adding, “We have made a lot of money to the Gaza Strip, but no one thanked us.”

These statements followed a report from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, which announced that 14 additional individuals had died from malnutrition within the preceding 24 hours, including two children. The ministry also reported that 29 other Palestinians had been killed in Israeli airstrikes as midnight local time.
