Behdad Eghbali, co-owner of Chelsea Football Club, was photographed alongside President Donald Trump at a recent event. Eghbali, an Iranian-American billionaire, is the co-founder and managing partner of Clearlake Capital, the private equity firm that, in partnership with Todd Boehly, acquired Chelsea FC. Boehly also holds ownership stakes in the Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB) and the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA).
The image of Eghbali and Trump was taken at an event that also featured numerous prominent figures from the world of soccer. These included former French internationals Didier Deschamps and Marcel Desailly, Italian legends Roberto Baggio, alessandro Del Piero, and Marco Materazzi, Brazilian stars Ronaldo and Kaka, and Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas. FIFA President Gianni Infantino and FIFA Vice-President Victor Montagliani were also present.
