Triumph Launches Electric Motorcycle Range for Young Riders, Built in Partnership with OSET
Hinwil, Switzerland – Triumph Motorcycles is expanding its lineup with a new range of electric motorcycles designed for children and young riders, developed in collaboration with OSET, the British manufacturer Triumph acquired in mid-2022. The four new models – the TXP-12, TXP-16, TXP-20, and TXP-24 – are available in both trial and enduro configurations by simply removing saddles and fenders, catering to a wide range of ages and skill levels.
The TXP range is tailored to different body sizes and experience levels, featuring specific frame sizes, chassis geometries, and controls for each model. The entry point is the TXP-12, designed for children aged three to five. It boasts a 360mm seat height and weighs 22.7 kg,powered by a 600W brushless electric motor operating on 43V. Top speed is adjustable up to 22 km/h through four performance stages.
Moving up, the TXP-16 caters to riders aged five to seven, offering a larger frame, improved suspension, a more powerful 765W motor, and a maximum speed of 30 km/h.It maintains a manageable weight of 26.2 kg and a 450mm seat height, and features hydraulic brakes instead of cable-operated ones.
The TXP-20, for children aged seven to ten, is powered by a 1200W motor running on 50V, capable of reaching 35 km/h.It offers 125mm and 120mm of suspension travel, weighs 40.7 kg, and has a 525mm seat height. Braking power comes from dual 180mm discs with double-piston calipers.
the TXP-24 is designed for young people aged ten and up, and even adults. It features a 1600W motor,reaching a regulated top speed of almost 40 km/h. With a 1220mm wheelbase and 305mm of ground clearance, it allows for advanced maneuvers, supported by 160mm and 145mm of suspension travel. Braking is handled by four-piston calipers and 203mm and 180mm brake discs. The TXP-24 weighs 48 kg in trial configuration and has a 635mm seat height.
Triumph is encouraging early orders to ensure delivery before Christmas 2025. Pricing in Germany has yet to be announced, but in Switzerland, the TXP range is priced between CHF 1895 and CHF 4395.
