Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The train accident occurred in the Kalimenur area, Kapanewon Sentolo, Kulon Progo Regency. According to information, the accident involved 2 trains, namely KA Argo Semeru and KA Argo Wilis.
“That’s right, it happened at the Wates-Sentolo Station area at the Kalimenur corner,” said one passenger who did not want to be named when confirmed, Tuesday (17/10/2023).
“Between KA Argo Semeru and KA Argo Wilis,” he added.

The passenger said that the Argo Semeru train bound for Surabaya-Jakarta derailed first on the track. A series of derailments blocked it and was then hit by the Argo Wilis train from Bandung-Surabaya.
This incident occurred at 13.15 WIB. Until now, KAI has not provided an explanation regarding this incident.
