Total war: Medieval 3 ​Confirmed, Next major title ⁤to Debut at The Game Awards

Creative Assembly has announced Total War:​ Medieval 3, marking a return to ancient strategy gaming for the long-running franchise.The announcement⁤ coincides with the⁤ unveiling of ⁤Warcore, a new game engine described by the studio as the “next evolution” of Total War’s proprietary technology.

This marks a meaningful shift for the series, which‍ has recently focused on its Warhammer fantasy setting.‌ Creative Assembly stated Warcore ‍is “the ​most advanced technological foundation ‌in the franchise’s history,” empowering developers‍ to create more immersive, dynamic, adn responsive gameplay. The engine is designed for continued ⁣advancement, ensuring the franchise ​remains at the forefront of strategy gaming.

Notably, the Warcore engine ⁣will enable future Total ‍War titles⁤ to launch on playstation and Xbox ⁣consoles for the first time.

creative Assembly also teased the⁤ reveal of its “next major release” at The ‍Game Awards on December 11. The studio ⁤described the upcoming ⁣game as “one of the most aspiring projects in the franchise’s history,” signaling the⁣ start⁢ of a “new era” ‍for Total war.
