Toronto Trip: Triumph Concert & April City Guide

by Lucas Fernandez – World Editor

Triumph, the Canadian rock trio, will kick off a 24-market reunion tour on April 22, 2026, at the GFL Memorial Gardens in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

The tour, dubbed “The Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded,” marks the 50th anniversary of the band’s formation and will include a performance at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on April 24. April Wine will serve as the opening act for the entire tour. Tickets for the Toronto show go on sale Friday, December 12, at 10 a.m. Local time, available online and at the Scotiabank Arena box office.

This marks a significant return for Triumph, whose last substantial tour supporting the album Edge of Excess concluded in 1993. The band initially disbanded shortly thereafter. A partial reunion occurred in 2008 with the original lineup performing two shows at the Sweden Rock Festival, and a limited engagement in Toronto in 2019 saw them perform three songs together.

The band, comprised of Rik Emmett (guitar and vocals), Mike Levine (bass), and Gil Moore (drums), released nine studio albums in their classic formation, and one with Phil X on vocals and guitar. They are known for hits including “Lay It On The Line,” “Magic Power,” “Fight the Good Fight,” and “Hold On.”

“Our fans have always been the heart of Triumph,” the band stated. “Their energy, their belief, and the way they embraced the positivity in our music have carried us for fifty years. We’ve always said these songs were meant to bring people together – and that’s exactly why we’re coming back now. We knew there was still a chapter left to write. This tour is our chance to do it, together with the people who made the Triumph journey possible.”

The tour is scheduled to continue through June 6, with a final performance in Boston. VIP packages are available for select dates. Triumph has partnered with PLUS1, donating $1 from every ticket sold to an unnamed charity.

Following the Toronto performance on April 24, Triumph will play at the TD Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario on April 25.
