Top Hotels for Music Lovers in Europe: DJ Sets, Vinyls, and Wine

June 17, 2026 Rachel Kim – Technology Editor Technology

The Hotel d’Alsace in Paris announced on April 5 that it would host a series of vinyl-based listening sessions curated by DJ and record collector Marc Lefevre, according to a statement shared with Reuters. The initiative, part of a broader trend in European hospitality, integrates music-focused experiences into guest stays, with specific details about programming schedules and venue capacities yet to be disclosed.

According to data from the European Hotel Association, 14% of member properties now offer curated music experiences, up from 6% in 2022. The Hotel d’Alsace’s announcement follows similar moves by establishments such as the Søllerød Strand Hotel in Denmark, which launched a “vinyl lounge” in 2023, and the Hotel Sans Souci in Austria, which partnered with local DJs for seasonal soundscapes.

Lefevre, a Paris-based DJ with over 15 years of experience, confirmed in an interview with Le Monde that the sessions would feature “rare pressings and analog playback equipment,” emphasizing the “tactile relationship between guests and music.” He noted that the format differs from traditional club environments, focusing instead on “curated listening rather than dancefloor energy.”

The trend aligns with broader shifts in luxury travel, where experiential offerings now account for 37% of high-end bookings, according to a 2024 report by the Luxury Institute. Hotels participating in music-focused programming include the Grand Hotel Tremezzo in Italy, which hosts monthly jazz evenings, and the Kämp Hotel in Finland, which features a 1,200-record vinyl collection available for guest use.

Industry analysts attribute the growth to “a desire for authenticity in an increasingly digital world,” said Clara Bergman, a travel economist at the University of Stockholm. “Vinyl’s resurgence, combined with the intimacy of hotel settings, creates a unique value proposition for travelers seeking non-traditional amenities.”

Questions remain about the scalability of such initiatives. The Hotel d’Alsace’s management has not commented on plans to expand the program beyond its initial pilot phase, while the Søllerød Strand Hotel’s operator cited “logistical challenges” in maintaining dedicated spaces for music programming. Meanwhile, the European Hotel Association is set to release guidelines for integrating cultural experiences into hospitality operations in June 2025.

Guests at the Hotel d’Alsace will be required to book sessions in advance, with pricing details expected to be finalized by April 15. A spokesperson for the hotel stated that “the goal is to create a sanctuary for music enthusiasts, blending historical ambiance with modern curation.”
