VILLEURBANNE,France – Tony Parker’s father,Tony Parker sr., has been found dead at the former NBA star’s home near Lyon, French authorities confirmed today.The circumstances surrounding his death are currently unknown.
Parker sr. was a notable figure in his son’s basketball journey, serving as an early supporter and consistent presence throughout Tony Parker’s career, from youth leagues to his time with the San Antonio Spurs and the French national team. He was often seen at ASVEL LYON-VILLEBANNE games after his son became president of the club, most recently attending the team’s victory against Nancy on September 28th at the astroballe, as documented by Paris Match.
Born in the United States, Parker Sr. fostered his son’s early basketball development in France, initially while Parker played in Bruges.
