Tony Germano, Voice Actor for Netflix and Nickelodeon, Dies at 55 in Fall

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – Tony Germano, a prominent Brazilian voice actor and stage performer known for his work on popular series like Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and Netflix’s Go, Dog, Go!, has died at the age of 55 following a fall at his residence in São Paulo. His death was announced Wednesday, November 26.

Germano reportedly fell while inspecting repairs too the roof of his recently purchased home. He did not survive his injuries.

Throughout a career spanning over three decades, Germano established himself as a versatile talent in both theatrical productions and voice acting. On stage,he appeared in acclaimed productions of The Phantom of the Opera,Miss Saigon,Jekyll & Hyde,and Fiddler on the Roof. His voice work also included a role in Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast. He was slated to appear in the 2025 film Labyrinth of Lost boys, directed by Matheus Marchetti.

News of Germano’s passing has prompted an outpouring of grief from colleagues and friends. Marchetti shared a tribute on Instagram,writing in Portuguese that their creative partnership “seemed like it was going to last forever,” and describing Germano as a “father figure” on set and “a gift from the rarest of all.”

Fellow actor Miguel Falabella also posted on instagram, calling Germano “an impeccable professional” and “a dear friend,” recalling their collaborations on productions such as Annie and Man of La Mancha.

A memorial service was held at the Bosque da Paz Cemetery in Vargem Grande Paulista on Thursday, November 27, with a burial to follow. Germano was not married and had no children.
