Tom Tiffany may try to overturn November election, reports Examiner
Tom Tiffany might attempt to overturn the November election results if he loses, echoing past challenges he mounted against the 2020 election, the Wisconsin Examiner reported.
Tom Tiffany and the Coming November 4 Post-Election Challenge
If Tom Tiffany loses in November, it is not irrational to think he might try to overturn the election results. On November 4, the day after the election, Tiffany might repeat the same old argument he made when he tried to overturn the 2020 election results in Arizona and Pennsylvania. During those previous challenges, he stated that if he had the chance, he would have voted against certifying the results in Wisconsin.
Ahead of the upcoming vote, Tiffany might again accuse Dane County election officials of being unscrupulous. He might also claim that Milwaukee County allowed hundreds of thousands of illegal votes to be cast and counted. Tiffany only recently admitted that Joe Biden won the 2020 election, and he has maintained that he supports an FBI probe into those state results.
Milwaukee Extends an Invitation to Scrutinize Local Election Security
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson has offered Tiffany an open-ended invitation to observe Milwaukee’s election procedures firsthand. “I invite you to see our election operation, to talk to officials who conduct our elections and scrutinize, first hand the extensive security and accuracy in place,” Johnson stated.
Unsurprisingly, Tiffany has not accepted this offer. When Tiffany welcomed FBI agents this spring to investigate Milwaukee election officials, the action was not solely about ensuring election integrity. According to the Wisconsin Examiner reporting, the real goal was to set the stage in case he loses in November, potentially asking Donald Trump to help overturn Wisconsin’s election outcome.
Finding Helpers and Nonpartisan Defense Networks in Wisconsin
When facing this impending emergency regarding November’s election, local community members are turning to grassroots organizations and volunteer networks for stability. Residents across the state are looking to organizations such as the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County, Souls to the Polls, Milwaukee Turners, and Voces de la Frontera.
