Tom Felton’s Return as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter Cursed Child

Tom Felton to Reprise Role as Draco⁣ Malfoy in Broadway production ⁢of ‘Harry Potter and⁣ teh Cursed Child’

NEW YORK⁤ – ⁢tom Felton,‍ best known for his portrayal of Draco⁣ Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, will return to the character on Broadway ⁣this fall in the stage‌ production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.⁣ The announcement marks a full-circle moment for the actor, who will be the same ⁤age as his character is depicted in the play ⁤- ⁤19 years after the‍ events ⁢of the original books.

Harry‍ Potter and the Cursed Child picks up where​ J.K. Rowling’s novels left off, following the children of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger as they navigate Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The play has already garnered important acclaim, winning ‍nine Olivier Awards and ‌five‍ Tony Awards. Casting announcements include John‍ Lithgow as ⁤Professor⁤ Dumbledore, Nick Frost as ⁢Hagrid, and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape. ‍Newcomers dominic ‍McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout have been cast as Harry, Hermione, and Ron, respectively. The series is ⁤slated to premiere‌ in⁣ 2027, with each season covering one book from⁣ the⁣ original series.
