Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie was allegedly threatened with a gun by a football agent, according to reports confirmed by the Metropolitan Police. The incident occurred on September 6th in Cockfosters Parade,barnet,with a 31-year-old man afterward arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms with intent,blackmail,and driving without a licence. He has been bailed pending further examination.
The revelation of Udogie as the victim surfaced in Italy hours before Tottenham’s Champions League match against Copenhagen on Tuesday, where the defender started in the lineup. A Spurs spokesperson stated the club has been and will continue to provide support to Udogie and his family, but declined further comment due to the ongoing legal matter. The police investigation also revealed a separate alleged blackmail and threat incident involving another man in his 20s, reportedly by the same individual.No injuries where reported in either case.
