Ariana Grande is joining the cast of American Horror Story for it’s thirteenth season, titled Grotesquerie. The singer and actress, known for her roles in Wicked and Victorious, will appear alongside returning cast members including jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, and Kim Kardashian.
The addition of Grande adds another high-profile name to the already star-studded cast of the upcoming season. Ryan Murphy Productions announced the news via Instagram, posting a video featuring the line, “Surprise, bitch. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me,” originally spoken by Emma Roberts’ character,Madison Montgomery,in the AHS: Coven season.This has fueled speculation about a potential crossover with the 2013 season, which also featured Roberts and Kardashian. American Horror Story is known for its anthology format, with each season presenting a new, self-contained story. Previous seasons have blended storylines from earlier installments, as seen in Apocalypse, which combined Coven, Murder House, and Hotel.Grotesquerie is expected to continue this tradition of interconnected narratives.
