Xiaomi Launches Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro with 28cm Displays, Varied Specs & Pricing
BEIJING – Xiaomi has officially released it’s Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro tablets, both featuring vibrant 28cm (11-inch) displays, catering to a range of user needs and budgets. the new tablets offer distinct differences in processing power, camera capabilities, and memory configurations, positioning them as versatile options within the competitive tablet market.
The launch expands Xiaomi’s tablet portfolio, offering consumers choices beyond the previously available Pad Mini. These new models aim to provide a balance of performance and affordability, targeting students, professionals, and entertainment enthusiasts seeking a portable and powerful device. The Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro are available in Black, Turquoise Green, and ice Crystal Blue.
The standard Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 3, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Pro model steps up performance with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, offering up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Camera specifications also differentiate the two models. The Pad 8 features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing sensor, while the Pad 8 Pro boasts a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera for enhanced selfie capabilities.
Pricing for the Xiaomi Pad 8 starts at 2,199 yuan (approximately Rp5.1 million) for the 8GB RAM/128GB ROM variant, rising to 2,799 yuan (Rp6.5 million) for the 12GB RAM/256GB ROM configuration. A Matte edition is also available, starting at 2,699 yuan (Rp6.3 million) for 256GB storage.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro begins at 2,799 yuan (Rp6.5 million) for the 8GB RAM/128GB ROM model and extends to 3,899 yuan (Rp9.1 million) for the top-tier 16GB RAM/512GB ROM option. The Matte edition of the Pad 8 Pro starts at 3,599 yuan (Rp8.4 million) for 12GB RAM/256GB storage, reaching 4,099 yuan (Rp9.6 million) for the 16GB RAM/512GB configuration.
