Boyertown‘s Studio B Announces “Light” holiday Art Exhibit
Boyertown,PA - Studio B,located at 39 E. Philadelphia Ave., will host its annual holiday art exhibit, “Light,” opening December 5 from 5-7 p.m. Teh exhibit will feature works in all mediums by area artists and remain on display through January 25.
As opening in 2008, Studio B’s holiday exhibit has become a local tradition, encouraging artists to showcase their work during the gifting season. Gallery Director Susan biebuyck believes presenting art as a gift “provides luminous and shining moments for the giver, the recipient, and the artist,” particularly during the darker winter months. Artists are invited to submit pieces on any subject or inspired by the theme of “Light.”
This year’s exhibit will be juried by Amy Forsyth, a professor at Lehigh University with a background in architecture, furniture design, and construction. Forsyth has previously taught at Penn State and the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and has contributed to publications like woodwork Magazine and American Craft. She also received fellowships at the Windgate ITE International Residency at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia in 2016 and 2019.
The “Light” exhibit is free and open to the public.
