Vice Provost for Academic Innovation
San josé State University (SJSU), the oldest public institution of higher education on the West Coast and the only public four-year university in Silicon Valley, is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader too serve as its vice Provost for Academic Innovation. This role reports directly to the Provost and leads a central office dedicated to supporting and partnering with SJSU’s colleges and academic units.
The Chance:
The Vice Provost will be instrumental in expanding SJSU’s reach and impact through growth in professional, continuing, and online programs. Key responsibilities include:
* Expanding Access: Increasing access to education and meeting evolving learner and workforce needs.
* global Engagement: Deepening global partnerships to drive student enrollment and enhance SJSU’s international visibility.
* Program advancement: Propelling specialized programs that advance the university’s mission and serve the san José and Silicon Valley communities.
* Innovation Hub: Establishing the Office of Academic Innovation as a central hub for cultivating and advancing creative ideas and strategic initiatives, building upon existing platforms like SJSU Online.

Qualifications:
* Master’s degree or equivalent.
* five years of administrative leadership experiance.
* Proven experience developing and delivering professional and continuing education programs.
* Six to ten years of experience overseeing credit and non-credit programs at scale is preferred.
* Highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to build teams across campus.
Salary: $235,000 – $260,000
