University of Phoenix Launches Center for AI Resources,Equipping Students for the Future of Work
PHOENIX – University of Phoenix today announced the launch of a dedicated Center for AI Resources,designed to guide students in the responsible and effective use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in their coursework and future careers. The Center addresses a critical need for working adult learners to understand and leverage AI tools as they become increasingly prevalent in the modern workforce.
The new Center provides students and faculty with thorough resources covering key areas including: what generative AI is and how it effectively works; University of Phoenix’s policies regarding AI use in coursework; ethical considerations,academic integrity,proper citation,and attribution; practical prompting techniques and access to institution-available AI tools; data safety and privacy protocols; and a balanced understanding of AI’s benefits and limitations.
“Driven by a deep understanding of workforce trends, University of phoenix created a skills-aligned ecosystem for working adult learners and strong employer relationships,” the university stated. “The University maps career-relevant skills across degree programs and uses this skills-aligned framework to nurture continuous skills acquisition and career enhancement – providing a clear context for responsible AI use in coursework and on-the-job upskilling.”
Students can access the Center through their classroom main pages, the Virtual Student Union (Learning Resources), the Student Resources main page, new Student Orientation (AI Guidance), and via the University Library and Center for writing Excellence. Faculty access is available through the Faculty Resource Center.
The Center is designed for continuous improvement, incorporating a feedback form for users to rate usefulness and suggest enhancements. Planned updates include short-form video explainers, richer visuals, and expanded topics based on student interest.
