UFC BJJ 4 Set to Crown Inaugural Champions in Three Title Showdowns
LAS VEGAS – The UFC BJJ organization will host its fourth event,UFC BJJ 4,featuring three championship bouts headlining the card. The event will showcase the promotion’s first title fights across the men’s middleweight, women’s featherweight, and inaugural women’s strawweight divisions.
Headlining the event, Junior Souza (3-0, 3 submissions) aims to solidify his position as a middleweight mainstay. Having secured victories over Felipe Costa, Nick Mataya, and Kody Steele in his official UFC BJJ debut, Souza is persistent to defeat Tackett and claim the UFC BJJ 185-pound division title.
In a highly anticipated women’s featherweight championship clash, fan favourite Canute (1-0, 1 submission) will face Le Vern (1-0, 1 submission).Canute, a multiple-time IBJJF No-Gi world Champion with notable submissions against Morgan Black, Michele Oliveira, and Karol Rosa, seeks to begin her reign as champion.Le Vern, a decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete with numerous European and World IBJJF medals, intends to upset Canute and secure the inaugural UFC BJJ women’s featherweight championship.
The card also features the first-ever UFC BJJ women’s strawweight championship match between Mayssa Bastos (0-0) and Amanda Alequin (0-0).
