Texas A&M Volleyball Bolsters Roster with Five Highly-Ranked Recruits
COLLEGE STATION, TX – Texas A&M Volleyball has announced the signing of five athletes to its 2026 class, adding notable talent across multiple positions. The incoming class includes outside hitter Sara Bowcutt,opposite hitter Brooke Lacewell,and middle blocker Lolufe Adedeji,alongside two additional players not detailed in the release.
Head Coach Jamie morrison expressed enthusiasm for the incoming group, emphasizing their well-rounded skillsets and potential impact. “Something we value highly in our program are well-rounded volleyball players and Sara [Bowcutt] is just that,” Morrison said. “She is a dynamic athlete that can play the entire game.”
Bowcutt, a standout from Arizona Storm Elite, is ranked No. 76 nationally and among the top 30 outside hitters by Prep Dig. She earned Freshman of the Year honors and was a four-time All-Region First Team selection in high school. Bowcutt was also named to the All-Tournament team at the 2023 USA Volleyball Junior National Championships and recently earned Region Player of the Year recognition.
Joining Bowcutt is opposite hitter Brooke Lacewell, ranked No. 106 nationally and No. 10 among opposite hitters according to Prep Volleyball. Lacewell, a team captain for her high school, led her team to a regional semifinal victory. “Brooke [Lacewell] brings one of the best arms in the country to Aggieland,” Morrison added. “She has developed into an all-around volleyball player with success at the club level.” Lacewell was named to the Junior Volleyball Association’s Watchlist for 2024 and earned all-Tournament Team honors at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championship.
Rounding out the publicly announced signees is middle blocker Lolufe Adedeji, a versatile player recognized for her offensive and defensive prowess.Adedeji was recently selected for the USA Volleyball’s National Training Progress Program and earned Central Oklahoma Athletics Conference Player of the Year in 2025 and Offensive Player of the Year in 2024. “Felief [Adedeji] is an extremely dynamic athlete that will be a presence in the middle of the court,” Morrison stated. “She has a well-rounded offensive game and is elite off one leg behind the setter.” Adedeji was also named to the 2024 AAU All-Tournament Team and helped oklahoma Peak win the 2024 Lone Star Qualifier Championship.
