Makassar, South Sulawesi – A collaborative surveillance system has been established in South Sulawesi to monitor the distribution of the Makanan Bergizi untuk Generasi (MBG) – Nutritious Food for Generations – program, a key national initiative aimed at improving childhood nutrition and developing Indonesia‘s future workforce. The effort brings together the BPOM (National Agency of Drug and food control), the Education Office, the Health Office, the Transport Bureau, and the Police, signaling a commitment to transparency and efficiency.
The MBG program,a strategic undertaking of the National Nutritional Agency mandated by Presidential Regulation No. 83 of 2024, focuses on providing nutritional support and education to both students and non-students.
