Sting‘s Son,Steven Borden Jr., Scheduled for Second Professional Wrestling Match
Steven Borden Jr., son of WWE Hall of Famer Sting, will compete in his second professional wrestling match on November 21st for DEFY Wrestling in Seattle, Washington. the bout, taking place at Washington Square Hall during DEFY’s AEON event, marks Borden’s debut with an autonomous promotion and will see him face Kiran Gray in singles competition.
Borden’s initial foray into wrestling came after appearing alongside his father during Sting’s retirement match at AEW Revolution in March 2024. He subsequently began training with Darby Allin, Sting’s former tag team partner, and debuted in October at a New York art gallery event in a tag team match featuring Allin, JD Drake, and Karrion Kross. This upcoming match represents a significant step in Borden’s wrestling advancement, moving from tag team action to a one-on-one contest.
The connection to allin remains strong, as the AEW star previously wrestled regularly for DEFY during his time on the independent circuit and continues to make appearances. Grey, Borden’s opponent, also shares a link to Allin, having recently trained under his guidance. Grey is based in Atlanta and has experience in dark matches for Ring of Honor, as well as training at Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall’s nightmare Factory.
While it is indeed currently unknown if Allin will be present at the event, the shared training background between borden and Grey adds an intriguing dynamic to the match. This booking signals Borden’s commitment to pursuing professional wrestling beyond his initial debut.
