Seoul, South Korea – A woman in her twenties died after collapsing at a nightclub in Seoul, and a subsequent police investigation revealed a disturbing betrayal involving her younger sister and boyfriend. CCTV footage contradicted initial statements, exposing a sequence of events leading to the woman’s death.
Seo Ji-soo, a woman in her twenties, collapsed at a club and was transported to a hospital where she later died. Following the incident, three individuals who accompanied her – her younger brother,Seo Ji-min (25,pseudonym),her boyfriend,Kim Tae-min (30,pseudonym),and Kim Tae-min’s junior,Lee Dong-hyeok (25,pseudonym) – voluntarily went to the police station for questioning. Another member of the group, Lee Young-hoon (25, pseudonym), had already returned home.
Initial testimony from Seo Ji-min alleged that someone had slipped drugs into her sister’s drink. “Inside the club,my sister and I went around several tables and had drinks. When my sister collapsed, my guard took her out and laid her in the car. When I got out, she was unconscious, so I called 119,” she stated to investigators. She further asserted, “I think the alcohol I drank at another table contained drugs.”
However, a review of CCTV footage from the club, the building lobby, and a nearby convenience store revealed a different narrative. A simple reagent test on Seo Ji-min also came back ‘positive’ for MET and MDMA, prompting tears and a noticeable tremor in her voice upon receiving the results. Both Kim Tae-min and Lee Dong-hyeok refused to submit to a urine test, a refusal noted by the investigation team.
The CCTV footage ultimately revealed a shocking truth, completely contradicting Seo Ji-min’s claim that someone else had given her sister drugs. The investigation culminated in the revelation of a betrayal involving Seo Ji-min and Kim Tae-min.
Seo Ji-soo ultimately passed away.Following the unveiling of the truth, Seo Ji-min made a statement that investigators described as “cruel” and destructive, impacting both her sister’s life and her own.
