The blunder occurred when a clearance attempt deflected off Persib’s Adam Alis,resulting in a goal for the opposing team.
The incident has deeply affected the 23-year-old Izhan, who was visibly distraught after the final whistle, declining post-match interviews and interactions with fans.The loss is a setback for Selangor FC, while Izhan now faces an upcoming call-up to the Malaysian national team for the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers, where they will play Nepal on November 18.
