Title: Saudi Arabia’s ‘King Salman Gate’ Development Project in Makkah

Makkah, ⁤saudi⁤ Arabia – Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al ‍Saud has announced the launch of construction ‌for ‘King Salman Gate,’ a large-scale, multi-use ⁤development project in Makkah, adjacent to⁣ AlMasjid‌ AlHaram.

The project will cover an area of 12 million square meters ⁤and is intended to improve⁤ access to‌ and services surrounding the Grand Mosque,​ supporting the objectives of the Congregation Experience Program.

‘King Salman Gate’ will include 50,000 residential units, 4 to ‌5+ star hotels, over 200,000 square meters of retail space, and prayer facilities with a combined indoor and outdoor capacity ⁤of approximately 900,000. The development will also feature parking for around 30,000 ​vehicles,managed ⁣by a dedicated operational team.

The project is‍ designed⁣ to ‍integrate with public transportation and will incorporate the restoration and development of approximately 19,000 square meters​ of heritage sites,⁢ preserving Makkah’s cultural and historical⁣ landmarks.

Developed by RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company, a subsidiary ‌of the Public Investment Fund​ (PIF), ‘King Salman Gate’ is expected ​to generate over 300,000 jobs by 2036. The initiative ⁢aligns ⁢with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan to diversify its⁢ economy away ‍from oil and ⁣invest in​ tourism and infrastructure, ⁢with a national goal of welcoming 30 million worshippers annually⁤ by 2030.
