Samsung Galaxy A07 Launches wiht MediaTek Helio G99, Scoring 400K+ on AnTuTu
Jakarta, Indonesia - Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A07, featuring the MediaTek Helio G99 processor and boasting an AnTuTu score of 400,000. The new device aims to deliver enhanced performance and efficiency within its class.
The Helio G99 (6nm, octa-core, up to 2.2GHz) is paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Testing indicates smooth PUBG gameplay at 40FPS on medium settings for one hour without slowdown.Samsung notes the Helio G99 is 20% faster than the Helio G85 found in the Redmi 13C, though it may struggle with graphically demanding titles like Genshin Impact.
Samsung highlights the combination of the Helio G99 and One UI 7 as contributing to efficient operation and temperatures remaining below 40°C. The processor utilizes two high-performance Arm Cortex-A76 cores (up to 2.2GHz) alongside six Cortex-A55 cores for power efficiency.
While the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 offers competitive processing power with its Kryo 265 CPU, Samsung asserts the Helio G99S CPU architecture, specifically the Cortex-A76 cores, provides an advantage in handling heavier applications. Both processors deliver capable graphics performance; the Snapdragon 680 utilizes the Adreno 610 GPU, while the Helio G99 features the Mali-G57 MP2 GPU. Samsung’s HyperEngine technology further enhances the helio G99’s gaming performance.
The Galaxy A07’s camera system is led by a 50MP main lens, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor.An 8MP front camera is also included. Daylight photos are described as sharp with accurate colors, enhanced by AI processing through One UI 7. Low-light performance exhibits some noise, but the integrated flash assists. The device supports 10x digital zoom. Notably, the A07 lacks an ultrawide or macro lens, but represents an enhancement over the 13MP setup on the Samsung A06.
The Samsung A07 ships with One UI 7 based on Android 16, and samsung promises 6 years of OS updates and 7 years of security updates. Galaxy AI features, including summarize and translate, are integrated, alongside samsung DeX support.
