The event, hosted by Teyana Taylor and organized by the council of Fashion Designers of America, saw A$AP Rocky honored with the prestigious Fashion Icon award – an accolade previously bestowed upon Rihanna in 2014.This passing of the torch, coupled with the couple’s first red carpet as new parents, elevates the CFDA Awards beyond a celebration of design to a moment capturing evolving cultural and familial dynamics within the industry.
Rihanna donned a black Alaïa trench coat layered over a turtleneck,paired with loose,pleated white trousers and pointed-toe black pumps. A$AP Rocky complemented her in a black suit, accented by a vibrant yellow top and matching shoes, finished with diamond-encrusted jewelry and a gold leaf brooch.
The star-studded event also drew Naomi Watts, Julianne Moore, Venus Williams, Donatella Versace, and numerous other celebrities. The couple celebrated Rocky’s win at the high-end Italian restaurant ALBA before returning to the Four Seasons Hotel.
