Red Dead Redemption Rides Again on New Platforms, Including Mobile & Netflix
Rockstar games has released Red Dead Redemption and its expansion Undead Nightmare on a new wave of platforms, bringing the critically acclaimed Western to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, nintendo Switch 2, and, for the first time, iOS and Android devices. The games are now available to play for free to all Netflix subscribers.
The mobile versions feature optimized touch controls and an optional performance mode for increased frame rates. Netflix members can download and play both titles directly through the Netflix app at no extra cost.
Existing owners of Red dead Redemption on previous generation consoles and Switch will receive free digital upgrades to the new versions, with the ability to transfer save data. These updated versions boast significant technical enhancements, including:
* 60 FPS gameplay for a smoother experience.
* Improved image quality and HDR support.
* Up to 4K resolution on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
* DLSS support, HDR, and 60 FPS on Nintendo Switch 2.
The new releases were developed in collaboration with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games. They are also accessible through the GTA+ game catalog and for subscribers to PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium.
Red Dead Redemption follows John Marston as he’s forced to hunt down his former gang members in exchange for his family’s safety. Undead Nightmare presents a unique spin, plunging Marston into a zombie-infested world where he must find a cure for a mysterious plague.Both games include all content from the Game of the Year Edition.
