FFCCU Launches “Rapid Transfer” for Instant Debit Card Payments
[CITY, STATE] – First Financial Credit Union (FFCCU) has introduced a new feature called “Rapid Transfer” allowing members to quickly send money from their FFCCU accounts directly to an external debit card. The service, launched in fall 2025, aims to address frustrations with customary money transfer wait times.
Rapid Transfer enables FFCCU members to send funds to virtually anyone with a debit card. the process requires initial setup, but is designed to be speedy and easy, needing only the recipient’s debit card information. A detailed video tutorial demonstrating the setup and transfer process is available here.
Each Rapid Transfer incurs a fee of 1.75% with a $0.25 minimum. Notably, there is no fee when transferring funds from an external account into FFCCU. The fee is automatically calculated and displayed before the transfer is finalized.
Transfers typically complete within minutes, though FFCCU notes a maximum timeframe of 48 hours depending on the receiving financial institution.
To access rapid Transfer, members should select the “transfers” button within FFCCU digital banking – available on the mobile app, mobile website, or desktop computer - and choose “rapid transfer” from the options. Further guidance can be found in the video tutorial here.
FFCCU highlights Rapid Transfer as a convenient solution for urgent family needs, upcoming payments, or unexpected expenses. Members can stay informed about future digital banking updates by visiting the FFCCU blog here.
