Prince William Meets with Young Palestinians Receiving Medical Care in UK, Expresses Sorrow Over Antisemitism

London – Prince William recently met with children from Gaza receiving medical treatment in the United Kingdom, offering his support adn acknowledging their arduous experiences. The visit came shortly after the Prince condemned rising antisemitism in the UK, speaking at the Western Marble Arch Synagogue in London and meeting with young interfaith ambassadors working to combat hate.

The Prince’s engagements underscore a commitment to both humanitarian aid and interfaith dialog amidst heightened global tensions. The meetings with the Palestinian children highlight the UK’s role in providing medical assistance to those affected by conflict, while his strong stance against antisemitism reflects growing concerns about hate speech and discrimination. This follows Prince William’s historic 2018 visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories, the first official trip to the region by a member of the British royal family.

During his visit to the synagogue, Prince William expressed his sorrow to those who have experienced antisemitism, stating, “I’m just so sorry if any of you have had to experience antisemitism. It has no place and it shouldn’t happen.” He spoke with young ambassadors involved in interfaith initiatives aimed at countering prejudice.

In 2018, Prince William met with then-President Reuven Rivlin in Israel and toured Yad vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem. There, he heard firsthand accounts from two Holocaust survivors who found refuge in Britain as children fleeing Nazi Germany. He also met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas during the same trip.
