Zandvoort, Netherlands – Oscar Piastri of mclaren claimed victory at the Dutch Grand Prix on Sunday, marking his first Formula 1 win. Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen finished second, while RB’s debutant, Izak Hajar, achieved a remarkable third-place finish, earning his first career podium.
the race saw both McLaren drivers start from the front row, with Piastri maintaining the lead and Lando Norris initially falling behind Verstappen. However, Norris quickly regained second position, overtaking the home crowd favorite.A late-race mechanical issue forced Norris too retire with six laps remaining, paving the way for Piastri’s win and Hajar’s unexpected breakthrough performance. Hajar’s result fuels speculation about a potential future teammate role alongside Verstappen at Red Bull.
