Petrojet⁤ Secures $160 Million Contract for‍ Infrastructure⁣ Work at King Saud Air‌ Force Base

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA ⁢- Egyptian engineering firm Petrojet has been awarded a ‌$160 million (600 million ​Saudi Riyals) contract to undertake civil ​works at King Saud Air Force ⁢Base in Saudi Arabia, an Egyptian ⁤government official confirmed to Asharq Business. The project encompasses the ⁣installation of connections, protection, and electricity networks, alongside drainage and water line links to a new power ⁤station.

This contract win underscores PetrojetS growing footprint in the Gulf region and highlights Saudi Arabia’s continued investment in its military infrastructure. As the engineering arm⁤ of the Egyptian General Petroleum Authority, Petrojet’s ​success in securing this project demonstrates ‌Egypt’s⁢ expanding role⁢ in regional progress and infrastructure projects. The power station⁣ itself is⁢ being developed by a consortium including Saudi firms Al-Fanar and Issam Qabbani, alongside petrojet.

Work on the station is ⁢slated for completion within 18 months of ⁤the contract signing. Petrojet is currently active in 14 Arab and international markets, with new contracts totaling 112 billion Egyptian pounds ($2.32 billion) secured‌ through March of this year. Approximately 60% of this new business originates outside of Egypt, bringing the company’s total workload to 215 billion pounds ($4.46 billion) extending through 2028, according⁢ to‌ company data.

the company recently reported a net profit exceeding ‌14 billion pounds ($290 million) for⁣ the fiscal year 2024-2025,alongside a record of over 193 million safe work hours,demonstrating⁣ a commitment to safety standards. Petrojet is actively pursuing further expansion into key markets including the⁣ United arab Emirates, where ​it‍ is currently bidding on tenders from Aramco and Adnoc, and also Iraq, Algeria, Oman, and ‌Kuwait. The company also has ⁤its sights set on emerging markets ⁣in Mozambique, Angola, Congo, and Croatia.
