Apple to Announce M5-Powered iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook Pro This Week
Cupertino, CA – October 12, 2025 – Apple is expected to announce updates to its iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook Pro lines this week, according to Bloomberg’s Mark gurman. The releases will likely come via press release, foregoing a traditional launch event. The updates center around Apple’s next-generation M5 chip, signaling a continued focus on performance and artificial intelligence capabilities.
While Apple routinely unveils new products in September, October often sees additional releases. The arrival of the M5 chip represents a significant step forward for Apple’s silicon roadmap, promising increased CPU and graphics power, alongside an improved Neural Engine. This move is particularly noteworthy as artificial intelligence becomes increasingly central to Apple’s strategy.
The iPad Pro and Vision Pro are anticipated to be the first devices to feature the M5 chip.
