Chateau in Napajedle,Once Owned by Baťa and Russian Aviation Executive,Hits the Market
Napajedla,Czech Republic – The chateau in Napajedle,a historic property with ties to both the famed Czech shoe manufacturer Tomáš Baťa and a former Russian aviation executive,has been put up for sale. The current asking price is reportedly under hundreds of millions of Czech crowns.
The property’s ownership history includes a period under Vladislav Masalov, former head of the civil division of Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi, who became a co-owner in 2017. Ownership fully transferred to Feng Lijun of singapore two years ago, coinciding with Masalov’s placement on sanctions lists by Ukraine and Canada. Prior to Masalov, the chateau was part of the Baťa estate.
The current owner previously offered to sell the chateau to the city of Napajedla for either 167 million crowns (including furniture) or 142 million crowns for the company that owns the building, but the city council declined. Currently operating as a hotel and event space,the chateau is being marketed by a real estate agency that declined to disclose the exact asking price. This sale follows similar listings of historic Czech properties previously owned by Russian figures, including a chateau in Dolní Olešnica.
