In separate news, Elliott recently resolved a seven-year legal dispute with producer Terry Williams in August. Williams claimed he contributed to songs from Elliott’s early work, including tracks from Sista’s 1994 album 4 All the Sistas Around Da World, and was not properly credited or compensated. A U.S. District Judge ultimately dismissed his attempt to link his claims to aaliyah’s 1996 single “Heartbroken,” citing the claim was made too late, over two decades after the song’s release.
