Tokyo, Japan – November 21, 2024Meiji University​ will host a press conference​ today, beginning at 17:00 JST, as 12 professional Japanese baseball teams commence nominations ⁣in⁢ the 2025 professional baseball draft. The event, ⁣held at the Kishimoto Tatsuo ​Hall⁣ on the 23rd floor of Liberty ⁣Tower at the Meiji University Surugadai campus, marks a pivotal moment for several graduating players from the university’s Athletics Hardball Baseball Club.

This draft holds notable ⁤weight‌ for the prospective athletes, representing the‍ culmination of thier collegiate​ careers ⁣and a potential launchpad‌ into ⁣professional baseball. The conference will detail the initial selections and provide a⁢ platform for the chosen players to address the⁢ media alongside their club ⁣manager,coach,and​ university representatives. Following the ‍draft rights negotiations, a formal⁤ press conference will be‍ held.

The press conference will feature Head of the Athletics Hardball Baseball Club,Professor Yuichiro Yamamoto (Faculty of⁤ Commerce),alongside Coach‍ Toshimi totsuka. Representing the players are Vice-General Taiga Kojima (4th year, Faculty of politics and economics), Kai Mori (4th year, Faculty of Facts and Communications), Jihide Okawa ‍(4th year, Faculty of International‍ Japanese Studies), Taiga Takasu (4th year, Faculty of Law), and⁢ Yuto Kuno (4th year, faculty⁣ of⁤ Commerce).
