Nintendo Reports​ Strong first ‌Half of⁢ 2025 Driven by Software‍ Sales, Including Mario​ Kart world

Nintendo announced an operating​ profit of 145.1 billion yen for ⁢the first half of‍ 2025, ​a 19.5 percent increase ⁢compared to the previous year, despite a 2.8 percent decline in ​digital sales and falling revenue‍ from its film division. The company’s success ​is ​largely attributed to robust software sales, with in-house titles like ​ Donkey Kong Bananza (3.49 million sales as July) and Super Mario Party Jamboree leading the charge. Notably,Mario‍ Kart World is⁣ contributing ​to this positive trend.

The financial report indicates Nintendo ‍has sold a total⁤ of 10.36 million consoles. The company is forecasting annual sales of approximately 2.25 trillion yen by March 2026,‍ representing a 93 percent increase ‌over the prior year. Upcoming first-party titles expected ⁣to maintain momentum include Kirby Air Riders (November release) ⁢and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (December release),alongside new editions of​ Pokémon⁣ Legends: ZA and re-releases of classic games.

Nintendo‍ plans to continue this growth with​ a strong pipeline of titles,‌ building on the success of its current offerings.
