Aphex Twin Drops Two new Tracks on SoundCloud in Surprise Release
Electronic music icon Aphex Twin has unexpectedly released two new tracks on his soundcloud page, sending ripples of excitement through his fanbase. The sudden drop arrives as the artist continues a period of prolific, yet unconventional, output including recent collaborations and archival releases.
This latest move follows a pattern established in recent years where Aphex Twin has favored surprise releases and direct engagement with fans outside traditional album cycles. His last official release was the 2024 compilation From The Merch Desk (2016-2023), gathering music previously only available at his live shows. Prior to that, he released an expanded edition of his seminal 1994 album Selected Ambient Works II and hasn’t released a full studio album since his 2014 Grammy Award-winning Syro.
Beyond music, Aphex Twin has been actively collaborating with streetwear brand Supreme, curating a 191-song playlist and launching a Spring/Summer 2025 clothing collection featuring imagery from his iconic “Windowlicker” track, alongside items like work gloves and a coin knife. The SoundCloud release underscores Aphex Twin’s continued creative energy and willingness to bypass conventional music industry norms.
