Screenshots purportedly from the canceled Xbox game Contraband have emerged online, ⁢offering⁢ a glimpse ‍into the development of⁤ the title before its cancellation. The images,shared by Twitter user‍ @Colteastwood and reported by MP1st,showcase menu screens,design ​elements,and potential ​gameplay features.

Contraband,⁢ developed by avalanche Studios (known for the Just Cause series), was announced ⁤in 2021 as a co-op open-world action game set ​in the 1970s, centered around smuggling and ⁣featuring muscle cars. Xbox confirmed the project’s cancellation in February 2024,⁤ three months prior ‍to the ⁣leak. the leaked images‍ suggest the⁢ game included various playable professions‍ and ⁢a progression system.
