KUNA: Kuwait City – A team of women recovering from cancer celebrated a victory over Al-Fatta Sports Club today,Thursday,October 30th,in a friendly match designed to spotlight the importance of early detection and active lifestyles in the fight against breast cancer.
Organized by the National Cancer Awareness Campaign (CAN) under the “Pink lifeline” initiative, the event aimed to raise awareness among women about the benefits of physical activity in preventing and managing the disease. The match showcased the resilience and strength of cancer survivors, emphasizing the positive impact of sports on both their physical and psychological well-being.Obesity is a known risk factor for breast cancer, and regular exercise plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy weight and improving overall quality of life for those affected.
The game featured a strong showing from the recovering women,who demonstrated dedication and effort on the court. CAN hopes the event will encourage more women to prioritize early detection screenings and incorporate physical activity into their routines, ultimately contributing to improved health outcomes and a stronger support network for cancer survivors.
