Jackson Residents Can Dispose of Bulk Items at Fall Cleanup Event This Saturday
The City of Jackson is offering residents a convenient opportunity to clear out unwanted items with its Fall Cleanup Event this Saturday, September 27. The event provides a designated drop-off location for yard waste adn household goods, helping maintain neighborhood cleanliness and offering a responsible disposal solution as fall approaches.
The cleanup will run from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Accepted items include grass clippings, leaves, brush, boxes, furniture, washers and dryers, mattresses, stoves, clothes, shoes, metal, and paper products. Residents should note that certain items are prohibited, including batteries, tires, kitchen garbage, paint, liquid waste, appliances containing freon, hazardous waste, electronics, motor oil, and concrete/rocks.
Drop-off locations are the Department of Public Works Operations Center at 521 water street and Nixon Park, located at 400 E. North Street. Participation is limited to City of Jackson residents, and a valid photo ID is required for verification.
